The Dragon Playground in Toa Payoh was the location for our first ever photoshoot. It's one of the oldest (been around since 1973!) and most distinctive playgrounds in Singapore, and we thought that it would be a suitable place to take a set of photos that were representative of what we wanted our chalkboards to stand for - something which despite having been around for a long time, retains its charm to the present day.

The objective of the shoot was to capture our products in an outdoor environment.  After a slow start, we began to get the hang of things and eventually managed to get quite a few good shots. Here are some of the pictures we took that day:

Chalkboard- Is something that we've been searching for (online, in furniture shops, etc.) to place in our new home. And I meant a huge enough board that could fill an empty wall. Why a chalkboard? It's decorative; gives a tinge of country feel yet contemporary and at the same time old school (how ironic, but true!); it's a space for expression and loving notes (plus chalk markers are available now, bid goodbye to dusty chalks); it's awesome. However, we've not been able to find one that looks like THE ONE. Even finding a supplier for such huge chalkboards has been really tough. So yes, that just got us inspired to start Chalk'let- for those who appreciate the beauty of chalkboards.

Every product in Chalk'let is handmade with love.
