Can i use liquid chalk on your chalkboards?
All kinds of chalk can be used on most of our chalkboards. Any restriction on the types of chalk that can be used on any particular chalkboard will be clearly stated in the product description of that chalkboard.
However, do note that liquid chalk in general is difficult to cleanly erase from chalkboards, and we strongly advise customers to avoid using liquid chalk on their chalkboards if they wish to frequently erase and rewrite on the chalkboard surfaces.

What are handcrafted and vintage items?
Handcrafted items are items that have been partially or fully handmade by us. Vintage items, on the other hand, are pre-owned items that we have been recycled and given a new lease of life.
None of our handcrafted and vintage items are perfect; but it is precisely such slight imperfections that reflect their handcrafted and vintage qualities.
Do your chalkboards come with the chalk drawings and props as shown in the pictures?
Nope. The chalkboards that you purchase come without any chalk drawings or designs. The chalk drawings and props which you see in our pictures are for illustration purposes only.
It's more fun this way as you get to personalise your own chalkboards!
What currency are your prices in?
All prices are in Singapore Dollars.
Many items are sold out, do you have a mailing list?
Since our one-of-a-kind items sell out quickly, the best way to know about future shop updates is to join our mailing list or to follow us on facebook.
How often do you restock?
We restock our handcrafted items twice a month. Other ongoing items are always available.
Where do you ship? How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We ship our items worldwide. All local orders, notwithstanding the occasional exception, will ship within 7 business days. International orders should ship between 15-24 days.
I need my chalkboards urgently. Can i request for an expedited delivery service?
Drop us an email, and we'll try our best to accommodate such requests. However, we may sometimes have adjust our delivery charges in such situations to reflect the higher cost of expedited delivery.
What are your shipping charges?
We charge a flat rate shipping fee of $4.50 per order for most items shipped in Singapore. However, to cover the higher cost of shipping some of our larger pieces, shipping fees for these items may vary.
The cost of shipping to international locations is listed along with our products. However, should you wish to make a bulk purchase from overseas, do contact us separately for bulk purchase shipping rates.
May I place a special order?

Definitely! Drop us an email and we'll work something out.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We happily accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or regular account payments through PayPal. Your payments via Paypal will be to ''THE BOOK CREW" which is the company that runs this website.
Alternatively, we also accept payment via cheques made out to "The Book Crew".
Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?
No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. If you do not have a Paypal account, click on the "Don't have a Paypal account?" link when you get to the Paypal payment page. From there, you'll be able to use Paypal as a guest for payment.
Of course, if you do already have a PayPal account, you can definitely also use it for your purchases.

We use PayPal to process all our payments. PayPal automatically encrypts confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

My purchase arrived damaged, what should I do?
If things should go wrong for any reason, here is what you should do:
Send us at email with the heading “Item Return - Order Number xxxx". In your email, also specify the item name, and reason for return. We will process your request as quickly as we can and provide further instructions on how to return the item. All items must be returned in the condition in which you received them.
Please note that we do not offer cash refunds. Instead, we’ll exchange your defective product for a new one, or, should that item be unavailable, offer you an equivalent cash credit which you can use for other purchases at our shop.
